July 26th will mark 35 years since the Americans with Disabilities Act was signed into law. ESRW celebrated this milestone and Disability Pride Month by hosting a Carnival of Abilities, full of fun games, food, Cincinnati Reds mascot appearances, and more. Lisha Stross, the Director of Disability Services in Kentucky for ESRW, says that pride is about being loud with your identity. “Pride is about not hiding away your disability or feeling shame of having a diagnosis or a disability. It’s about standing up and being proud of who you are.”
